Merit Scholarship Opportunities
By combining outstanding merit awards with our policy of meeting 100% of need for students who meet all Lambuth University, FAFSA and state deadlines. We are committed to scholarship and student success.
Lambuth priority acceptance deadline for these scholarships is January 15. All scholarship applicants must complete the FAFSA.
Hyde ScholarsQualifications are a 30 ACT / 1320 SAT or above and at least a 3.5 GPA.
Award equal to tuition, room and board
Must complete interview process on February 24, 2007
Presidential Scholars
Qualifications are a 30 ACT / 1320 SAT and at least a 3.5 GPA
Award equal to tuition
Partners in Excellence
Scholarships up to the amount of tuition are available for students who graduate in the numeric top 10 of their high school class**.
Qualifications are a 24 ACT / 1090 SAT or above and a 3.75 GPA
Students who receive the Hyde, Presidential, or Partners in Excellence award, must maintain a 3.25 grade point average to retain this scholarship
Dean's Scholars
Qualifications are a 28 ACT / 1240 SAT and a 3.5 GPA.
Award up to $15,000 per year
Trustee Scholars
Qualifications are a 26 ACT / 1170 SAT and a 3.4 GPA.
Award up to $13,000 per year
Achievement Scholars
Qualifications are a 24 ACT / 1090 SAT and a 3.0 GPA.
Award up to $11,000 per year
Students who receive the Deans, Trustee, or Achievement award, must maintain a 3.0 grade point average to retain this scholarship.
Director’s Award
Qualifications are a 20 ACT / 940 SAT and a 3.0 GPA
Award up to $9,000
Students who receive the Director’s award, must maintain a 2.75 grade point average to retain this scholarship.
Lambuth priority acceptance deadline for scholarship consideration is February 1.
All applicants must file the FAFSA; priority completion date is February 15.
**Class size may affect eligibility - - Lambuth’s Admission Scholarship Committee will determine final eligibility. Lambuth aid awarded to any student will not exceed the cost of tuition, with the exception of the Hyde Scholarship.
Lambuth TELS Matching Grant
For Students not qualifying for a merit scholarship, we will match TELS up to $3,800 per year.

Methodist Affiliated Students
United Methodist Grant
Award $1,000 annual to students certified by their UMC Pastor prior to enrolling at Lambuth University
United Methodist Youth Leadership Scholarship
Nominations may be submitted by a student’s pastor, youth pastor, or by the church administrative council. Award up to ½ of Tuition-Does not combine w/merit scholarships (Interview Deadline: Must complete interview process by February 24, 2007.
United Methodist Minister’s Dependent Grant
Qualifications: Student must be of a full-time appointed United Methodist Minister. Award is equal to ½ tuition when combined with UMC Membership Grant and merit-based scholarship.
The Bishop Scholarship
Qualifications: Pre-Ministerial students who demonstrate a call into professional ministry in the United Methodist Church. Student must complete an interview process to be held on campus February 24, 2007. Students must have 2.5 GPA and a 20 ACT/940 SAT. Award is equal to tuition and replaces any other Lambuth scholarship previously awarded. Students must be admitted by February 1st.
Faculty Select Scholars
Open to all admitted students. Selections made through interviews held on February 24, 2007
Available from all academic departments-awards ranging from $500 to $2,500
Alumni Leadership Scholars
Open to all students. This scholarship can not be combined with the Faculty Select Scholars Award-Selections made through interviews held through February 24, 2007.
Selections made by Alumni Board with scholarships ranging from $500-$2,500.
Interview Deadline: Must complete interview process by February 24, 2007.
Lambuth Legacy Grant
For children and grandparents of Lambuth Graduates; student is awarded $2,000
Athletic and Performance Awards
These awards are available to students intereted in Band, Choir, Theater, or recruited by an Athletic Coach. Scholarships begin at $500; please contact the Office of Admissions (1-800-526-2884) for an audition in Band, Choir, and Theatre. Contact the Athletic Office for an opportunity for an Athletic Scholarship at 1-800-919-8326.
