Honors Program
The University Honors Program offers students opportunities to take more responsibility for their education by experiencing challenging courses that are outside their particular academic interest. Students who complete the sequence are graduated "in honors."
The Curriculum
A three-semester sequence is designed to incorporate the diversity of disciplines while bringing students together in an intelligent discussion of ideas. Course content includes selections ranging from classical to contemporary works by the world's more respected thinkers.
The Honors Program curriculum was created to help students:
- Compare, relate and revise ideas
- Analyze evidence and critically weigh material
- Assimilate new information and form a satisfying whole
